A screen is a weak light, so use it close.
Even a bright monitor puts out far less light than a small LED panel. As an accent light it works within a metre or so of the subject. Further away, the pink disappears under the room light.

A screen showing pink to one side of a subject adds a colored edge light that is hard to get from ordinary bulbs.
Content backdrop

At low brightness, a pink screen across a room gives a gentle colored glow.
Mixed-color check
Pink is mostly red with some blue and a little green. Compare it across two screens to see how differently they mix colors.

Auto white balance will fight you.
Cameras and phones try to make the scene look neutral, and a large pink source is the first thing they correct. Lock the white balance before you shoot, or the color you wanted gets averaged away.

What is pink light used for in photography?
Mostly as an accent: a colored rim or background light that gives portraits and product shots a modern look. It works best close to the subject and alongside a neutral main light.
Does pink light have a calming effect?
The research is weak. The well-known "Baker-Miller pink" studies from the 1970s and 80s did not hold up well in later tests. A soft pink glow can still be pleasant, but there is no reliable evidence it changes mood.
Can I use a pink screen for TikTok or Instagram content?
Yes. Use it fullscreen as a backdrop, or as a colored light to one side. Lock your camera white balance first so the pink survives.
