A monitor or TV showing green behind you works as a small chroma key background for OBS, video editors, and conferencing apps that support a green screen.
A screen behind you gives the software a clean green edge to key against, which usually looks tidier than background removal without one.
Handy for facecam shots, cut-outs, and product shots where a proper green sheet would be overkill.
This field lights only the green sub-pixels. A dead green sub-pixel shows as a dark dot, and a stuck red or blue one as a dot of the wrong colour.
A green sheet reflects light. A screen emits it, and that green light lands on your hair, shoulders, and the edge of your face, where the key then eats into you. Sit a little further forward than feels necessary and turn the screen brightness down until the key just holds.
A camera pointed at a sharp screen can pick up moiré, a rippling pattern where the pixel grid interferes with the camera sensor. That pattern breaks the key. A wider aperture or more distance between you and the screen softens it away.
